Come worship with us!
We are a new church coming into being and invite you to be a part of this new thing being created!
What can you expect?
Worship is intergenerational. You will find people from infancy through retirement gathered together to sing, pray, and reflect on God’s love. You will experience children playing, dancing, answering questions and sharing their faith. The adults do a lot of the same, though we haven’t had any dancing yet! We provide space for dialogue and group processing as well, trusting that critical engagement leads to more life application. During worship there is time for adults to reflect privately and together, as children engage with a similar reflection together. The hope is that everyone is focussed on the same message from scripture. We provide further reading and follow up activities to do throughout the week to live the message we discus at worship.
Worship is a time to connect — connect with God, connect with who we are as individuals, and connect with each other. It is a time to let go of the chaos and burdens of the daily grind and practice a new way of life, one where we are in tune with God’s presence and guidance in our lives.
We are part of the Presbytery Church (USA), a reformed branch of the larger Church. Our practices and beliefs are shaped by our theological convictions.
If you grew up going to a Presbyterian church, our theology will feel familiar but our practices likely will not. We don’t have pews, or robes, or stained glass- but we do break bread, explore scripture, pray, and encourage each other in our faith life. We believe that worship can be a family event, that people from infancy through adulthood can gather together to learn, pray, and be empowered to live lives that seek justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God.
Children worship along side us, that can seem chaotic at times, but over all it is a blessings. They play, and sing, and explore all while learning that this community is safe and loving and believe that they have something to contribute to our shared faith life.
